Climate and health are linked. When one is at risk, so is the other.
At the recent World Health Organization global conference, leaders made big commitments:
– A new Health Action Plan to protect lives from climate threats.
– Indigenous voices at the center of decision-making.
– Real-time health data and policies grounded in evidence.
These are not abstract ideas.
They’re about breathing clean air.
Having safe water.
Keeping our families healthy.
Children are most at risk. Their lungs and brains are still developing.
They breathe more air per pound than adults, ie., more exposure to pollutants.
And, rising summer heatwaves make it harder for families to afford safe cooling.
And here’s the truth:
Sustainable health startups must be funded.
That’s exactly what I’m doing at the Emerald Summit with Nicole Casperson, during NYC Climate Week on Sept 19th.
We’re bringing capital and tech together.
The next chapter of climate action must start with care.
We believe good health and good jobs go hand-in-hand.
Let’s fund resilience. Your seat is your voice.
